Ellen Cryer Gilbert ’76, Director of Advancement, has a B.A. from Colgate University and an M.B.A. from Villanova University. Prior to coming to Westtown in 2004 to head up the Advancement Office, Ellen worked in sales and marketing with Procter & Gamble and Johnson & Johnson. She enjoys meeting alumni, parents, and grandparents and talking to them about Westtown and how their gifts of time and treasure can make a real difference in the School.

Kris Boe Batley '81, Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement, earned a B.A. in International Relations from Mt. Holyoke College and a J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Prior to coming to Westtown, Kris was a corporate attorney and worked at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. She is the liaison for the Westtown Alumni Association, is responsible for alumni and other fundraising events, and oversees reunion planning and alumni communications.

Claudia Schindler Callahan '87, Alumni and Parent Engagement Coordinator, graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts. Claudia was formerly the Director of Marketing at Hannum's Harley-Davidson, a Project Manager for Criterion Communications and a Graphic Designer and Assistant Art Curator for MBNA America. Claudia joined the Advancement Team in August 2010, and she looks forward to connecting with Westonians as she assists with Special Events and Alumni Affairs.

Johanna Coyle, Director of Annual Giving, graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Public Relations. She works with Westtown alumni, parents and other community members to inspire philanthropic support of the school. She also is the faculty co-advisor for the student run Youth Philanthropy Club. Johanna has been at Westtown since 2007.

Ellen Songle, Associate Director of Alumni & Parent Engagement, graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.A. in American Studies and Sociology. Prior to coming to Westtown she was the Special Events Coordinator at Nemours Alfred I. du Pont Hospital for Children and the Event Coordinator for The Siegfried Group LLP in Wilmington, Delaware. Ellen engages members of the Westtown community through participation in school-wide events, such as the auction, golf & tennis outing, and she manages our volunteer program.

Fran Lieberman, Advancement Administrative Assistant, has enjoyed the diversity of her role since 1998. She has the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with her Advancement colleagues, including our Planned Giving Program, 50th Reunion Class Gift, special events, and mailings. Fran particularly likes being able to assist our constituents when they call with questions or need information.

Jayme Murray Gittings, Associate Director of Annual Giving, graduated from Colgate University with a BS in Psychology and from University of Pittsburgh with a Juris Doctorate. Jayme helps engage the broader Westtown community as financial stewards of the school through the Westtown Fund and reunion giving. Previously, she managed the individual giving program at Living Beyond Breast Cancer and served as Director of Development for Family Service of Chester County.

Ted Lutkus, Director of Capital Programs, has been at Westtown since 1990 in a variety of roles. He has been a teacher, coach, Assistant Dean, Dorm Head, Dean of Students, Science Department Head, and most recently the Upper School Principal. Joining the Advancement Office in July 2011, Ted works with gifts for new programmatic needs as well as the Westtown Fund. He received a BA from Haverford College and a M. Ed from Harvard University School of Education.

Debbie Mathews, Director of Advancement Services, graduated from Rosemont College with a BA in Organizational Development. She oversees the advancement donor database records using best practices developed through successful collection, maintenance and protection of alumni, parent, and other Westtown constituency relationship records.

Meghan Sayer, Director of Gift Planning, helps educate the Westtown community about opportunities for support. She assists parents, alumni, and friends as they consider how best to support the major initiatives of the school through giving. Meghan also assists with legacy gifts such as trusts, annuities, and bequests that will benefit future generations of Westonians. She is a graduate of Penn State University (BS, Rehabilitative Education) and Springfield College (MS, Human Service Administration).

Nancy Kriebel Turner '68, Director of Planned Giving, returns to Westtown from Goucher College in Baltimore, MD where she was director of Major and Planned Gifts for 10 years. Previously she was Vice President and Trust Officer for First Merit Bank in Wooster, OH; Nancy is a graduate of The College of Wooster. Nancy meets with alumni, parents, and friends of Westtown to talk about ways of including Westtown in their philanthropic priorities.
